My Top 10 From 2010

Our Top 10 events from 2010!

10.  Bryan and I remodeled an old house into a wonderful home for the two of us (hopefully 3 of us really soon)!

9. I had the best birthday this year with some super friends and family.  They gave me a small baby shower with "baby essentials."  It was so much fun!

8.I got to spend most of my summer at the beach enjoying our families new beach house!

7. I have made some new friends through work, blogging, and CAS that I cherish everyday!

6.My wonderful husband has perfected grilling on his BIG GREEN EGG!  My meals are always amazing and I am so glad that my husband loves to cook!

5.Bryan and I had some great camping trips in 2010.  One of the best was Halloween weekend because we had so many friends there camping with us.

4.BLOGGING!!!!  I never thought I would love blogging as much as I do but I have become slightly obsessed with it in 2010.  One of my favorite things to do is read all the other blogs that I follow.  It is great to read about other peoples lives and know that they experience some of the same things I do on a daily basis.  I feel like some of them are part of my family!

3.Baby Pruitt has the most amazing nursery! It is such a peaceful and happy place.

2. We finished all adoption paperwork and are officially a waiting family with CAS!

1. Our relationships with God have grown so much this year.  We rely on him now to guide us and lead us through life.  We know that what he has planned for us is going to be amazing!!

I have a feeling that 2011 is going to be our year!  I hope that our family will welcome home "Baby Pruitt" forever!

I hope 2010 was as good for you as it was for us!
See you in 2011!!

Today's Fortune

I went to lunch today with my friend Angela.  We ate at PF Chang's which I love!  The meal was great but my fortune inside my fortune cookie was even better.  I wanted to share it with you.

Front of Fortune (sorry a little blurry)

OK...I am happily married so I am thinking about a different kind of love will appear in my life when I least expect it.  Hopefully the love of a child.

The back of the fortune was really cool!

Isn't that cool!
Now most of the time I don't pay any attention to my fortunes but todays was special.  These days I tend to read a little bit too much into everything (I think that is part of the waiting process) but todays fortune brought me joy.  I put it in my wallet for safe keeping and I ate the cookie because I have always heard that your fortune doesn't come true unless you eat the cookie!

P.S.  We did a little shopping after lunch and everything at Ann Taylor Loft is 50% off right now!
We had a great girls day!!!

The Result of a Busy Holiday!!!

Roxy is exhausted!  She has not moved a muscle today and is still cozy in the bed.  She is use to being alone everyday until we get home from work but Bryan and I have been home so much lately with the holidays that she is not getting her usual sleep.  I am pretty sure she is ready for us to go back to work!  Little does she know, I will be here all week with her.  She is such a sweet puppy!

Roxy loved her stocking this morning...

especially her new baby!!!  I am so thankful for my fun and loving dog.  She is such an important member of our family.

Bryan's diaper bag my mom got him for Christmas.  I am so lucky to have a wonderful husband who I love more and more everyday!!!  He is going to be an awesome father!

Roxy watching it snow!  The snowy weather made today one of the best Christmas days ever!!!

Today was a great Christmas day.  I am so grateful to have a wonderful family, loving husband, and sweet puppy in my life.  My main goal this Christmas season was to focus on what I do have right now and not on what we don't have.  Sometimes this was easier said than done but I did cherish Bryan and my (hopefully) last Christmas alone.

Merry Christmas to all my friends, family, and blogging buddies!

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Thessalonians 5:18

Christmas Happenings

Bryan and I went with my mom and dad to see the Billy Graham Library Christmas decorations last night.  The live nativity scene was my favorite!

The Library

The house was Billy Graham's parents house that was moved to this new location.

On the way home we went to Old Stone for dinner and went through McAdenville which is Christmas Town USA.  I thought the lights were great this year!

Today for lunch, my friend Ashley came over with her little boy Aiden.  We ate KFC and had a wonderful visit.

I just love that smile!

It took several attempts to get Roxy and Aiden together but look how cute!!!

Aiden and Bryan playing together.

Aiden opening up his gift from Bryan and I.

Of course, he like the bow better than the actual present!

I found this beautiful book at Books-a-Million and it is the story of baby Jesus being born. This is Aiden's first Christmas so I wanted to get him something special.

Ashley & Aiden

Aiden was getting very antsy and ready for a bottle.

Ashley gave me this beautiful ornament and reminded me that there is hope and that all my desires will be met by God.  This is one of those gifts that I will keep for the rest of my life and it will always remind me of Ashley and this Christmas where hope is so important.

More Christmas happenings to come...

Surprise Gift

When I got home from work today, I had a wonderful surprise gift.  Phyllis, who is our women's prayer group leader, left me a bag of goodies to say "thank you" for being a part of the group.  The gifts were so thoughtful especially this little note that was attached to some scripture.

I love the scripture that she shared with me because it reminds me one more time that God has a wonderful plan for Bryan and I can't wait to see what it is.  Our adoption is going to be wonderful because it is in God's hands.

Also in my bag of goodies was this precious "P" ornament!

This book was also in there which seems like it's going to be a great read.

Phyllis is such a thoughtful person who I admire and aspire to be like one day.  She is a great leader in our church community.

Thanks Phyllis for making my day special!

Pretty Girls!

Today my cousins and I got together to take some pictures.  We haven't had a group shot made in probably more than 10 years.  My cousin Haley thought about the idea of a picture for our grandparents for Christmas.  We had a lot of fun and the pictures turned out really good if I do say so myself!

My Aunt Melissa and her daughters, Anna & Aleia.  My aunt came to take the pictures for us.  She did a great job!

All of us girls together:  Anna, Aleia, Haley, Me, and Danielle.

After the photo session, we ate lunch together at On The Border.
