Saying Goodbye

Last night, I went to a going away party for my cousin Danielle and her husband Robert.  They are leaving for Ithaca, NY tomorrow morning.  Robert is going back to school for his MBA.  We had a great time last night but we are sad they are leaving.  They have already said they will be home for Christmas so that will be nice.

Good luck Danielle & Robert,  we will miss you!

Check out their blog here.

Hands, Nap, & New Chair

In the past couple of days, Will has discovered his hands.  He is now constantly putting them in his mouth.  I am really hoping he doesn't discover his thumb.  I don't want him to suck his thumb!  Right now he is just trying to cram his fingers into his mouth.

This is how he fell asleep today after we had been playing on the floor.  I felt bad because he looks so uncomfortable but I didn't move him because he was napping so good.

Bryan and I received a ton of Wal-mart gift cards at our shower so we ordered Will this new bouncy chair.  It has lights, sounds, and vibrates.  It came today and I put it together all by myself.  Will loves it!  The lights look like a waterfall and he just stares at it and even laughs a little.  I think the new chair is going to be a big hit!

Owl Pajamas

I found Will these pajamas this weekend at Babies R Us.  Of course, they are my new favorite because they have cute little owls on them.  Owls are hard to find on boys clothes so when I saw these pajamas I had to buy them.  Aren't they cute?

That was a big yawn!

I also love the colors of the owls.  I really like the brown, oranges, greens, and blues combined together.  It kind of reminds me of the 70's.  A little retro which I like!

Family Reunion

Today Will attended his first family reunion.  The family reunion was my side of the family and goes all the way back to my grandfather's mother's family.  It's a big crowd and sometimes you don't even know everybody there!  It is held every year in July.  Will was recognized today for his birth and he was the youngest person there.  Everyone was excited to meet him and of course he did great!

I love his name tag!!!

Nana and Pawpaw's Surprise

Nana and Pawpaw went shopping today and brought Will a surprise.  It came from Bass Pro Shop.  It is Will's First Fishing Hat!!  It's a little big but it will fit him before we know it!

10 Weeks Old

Taking pictures of Will is one of my favorite things to do!  Today Will is 10 weeks old and I feel like I took his picture all day long.  We started our day by running some errands which wore him out so when we got home he took a nap on his boppy pillow.  Sometimes while he is sleeping, he will start smiling.  Bryan and I always wish we knew what he was dreaming about.

Another nap in his basket.  I took this picture because he now fills up just about the whole basket.  He is getting so long and he probably will not fit in his basket too much longer.  I remember when he looked like a tiny peanut in his basket and now he looks huge!

Hanging out with Will is a lot of fun now because he will smile and laugh when you talk to him.

This afternoon I tried to be creative and have a mini photo session with Will.  I try to be a professional photographer using props around the house to get just the perfect photo.  Of course they never come out just right because I am obviously not a professional but I sure do love to try!  (Honestly, I would love to take a photography class to learn how to use my camera the right way but that's a whole different post.)

Finally tonight we went to eat Mexican with my mom and dad.  He slept through the meal but woke up towards the end.  He really does well when we go out.  He will just sit around as long as you get him out of his car seat.  He does not love his car seat!

Happy Weekend!!

First Swim Trunks, other new stuff, & Multitasking

I went shopping today with Kendra and found Will his first pair of swimming trunks and a really cute lifeguard tshirt.  I really had a hard time finding some that were small enough for him to wear now (size 0-3).  I found a cute pair today at the Gap and they were on sale!  I also picked him up a few other things.

Now I know its 100 degrees outside and I have bought him a hoodie but it was very cheap and I bought a bigger size for this winter.  I couldn't pass up the deal!

While I was preparing dinner tonight, Will started crying and was hungry.  Everything was on the stove and I couldn't really leave it so I tried this!  It worked and I really hope I am not the only mom who has had to figure out how to multitask in order to get something done.

Sick Puppy

Poor little Roxy had to go to the doctor today and she has a little bit of an infection.  I noticed today that she wasn't eating well, very lazy, and was wanting to go outside a lot more than she usually does.  She even woke up last night at 4 am and needed to go outside which is very unusual for her. The doctor said that she has a little bit of blood in her urine and her white blood count was high.  Those are all signs of an infection.  She has to take an antibiotic twice a day for a few days.

Exhausted & Funny Story

Today was the first time that Will actually fell asleep while playing on his activity mat.  I went to work today and Will stayed with his Nana.  They must have played really hard because I laid him down for a second and the next thing I know he was fast asleep!

Funny story
Bryan gave Will a bath tonight and then proceeded to put on his pajamas without a diaper on.  He forgot the diaper!!!  He told me he thought the pajamas were too big for him and it actually took him a second to figure out why.  It made me laugh!

Weekend Clean-up

So after the shower on Saturday, we just brought all the gifts into the house and dropped them onto the dining room table.  Sunday rolled around and I just didn't get around to doing anything.  So my main goal today was to get organized and put away all of Will's new things.

Here's what it looked like this morning:

After working all day long, it's all put away and somewhat organized.

We received a ton of diapers in a variety of sizes which I think is wonderful!

That's it for today and I am exhausted!

Easy Sunday

Our day started by going to church.  Will did really good again.  He slept through most of the service and only started waking up towards the end.  I noticed today that he really likes the music and when the music would stop, he would start moving around.  He definitely likes loud noises.  We use a sound machine at home to help him go to sleep sometimes.  Of course we had to take some pictures of Will dressed for church.  I love how cute he looked this morning!

Roxy was feeling a little left out this morning and jumped in front of the camera!

After church, Will and I attended a baby shower for a sweet new baby named June and her mommy Kelly.  Will slept through the whole shower, so it went pretty smoothly!

This afternoon, Will has been very happy and just playing.  I just can't get enough of that smile!

Thanks Ashley for the new WubbaNub Pacifier!  It is perfect!  When it falls out of his mouth, it doesn't hit the floor.  We might need to buy some more of them.

Today has been a perfect Sunday.  Tonight, Bryan (of course) is going to grill us some dinner. My mom is going to come over and eat with us.  We are going to dig through all of our new goodies from the baby shower yesterday.  My mom was so busy, she didn't get to see all of the gifts.  I will start putting things away tomorrow.  I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Check it out!

My cousin Danielle and her husband Robert are preparing for a big move to New York next month. They are moving to Ithaca, NY and Robert will be going to Cornell University I believe for his MBA.   She has started a blog so that we can keep up her their journey.  Check it out!

Baby Shower

Today was Will's Baby Shower at our church.  We had a great time and received so many presents.
First I want to share with you the decorations.  I loved the way they decorated for the shower!  As most of you know, I am obsessed with owls right now so that was their theme.  It turned out super cute!

Now for the cake. The cake was amazing!  I loved the owls and polka dots.  His name was on the top of the cake and the letters looked like twigs.

So many of our family and friends got together and planned this shower for Will.
The Hostesses

Will got so many great presents and I love that we got things that we will use now and things for when he gets older.

Friends & Family

And of course the star of the show!

Now for the fun part, I have to find places for all of Will's new stuff!  Will might need his own little storage building in the backyard for all of his belongings.
