Nana's out of town

Will usually goes to Nana's house everyday but she is on vacation for a week at the beach.  So...Will went to daycare for the first time today.  We are lucky because Bryan's cousin runs a daycare in our town and she is letting Will stay there this week.  She said he did great today and was no trouble at all.  I am very relieved because I was kind of worried about how he would do in a larger place with other kids.

Will ready for his first day of daycare!

Our Sunday & Trying Something New

Today has been pretty low key.  We spent most of the day at home just hanging out together.
Bryan and Will played and of course I took pictures!

Bryan grilled us a cheeseburger so we hung out on the patio tonight.  The humidity was low so it wasn't miserable outside today.

One very relaxed little boy!

Finally for our something new.  The doctor told us that we could try some rice cereal with Will around four months old.  Now I know I am a little early but we were just wondering what Will was going to do with it so we tried some tonight.  Overall, he did really well (other than the huge mess that he made) but he didn't take a whole lot.  Maybe just a few spoonfuls and then I gave him his bottle.  The spoon of course was a challenge but he didn't gag or spit any of it up.  Our biggest challenge was that he kept trying to put his hands in his mouth which made an even bigger mess.  Bryan got some really cute pictures of him eating his cereal.

We hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Frog Prince Birthday Party

Yesterday afternoon, we went to Braden's first birthday party.  The theme was frog prince and Angela did such a great job decorating her home for the party.  Everything turned out so cute!

The Birthday Boy!

Angela had miniature ponies at the party for the kids to ride.

Halfway through the party, Will took a nap on Bebe's lap.

Sweet Aiden writing on the table.  Angela had butcher paper and crayons on the tables for the kids to draw on.  Great idea!

We had a great time and Will was so good.  When we got home, Kendra came over to hang out with us for the night.  We wore our comfy clothes, ordered Chinese, and watched some TV.

Crazy time of the year!

I really can't believe that it is that time of the year again!  Kids are coming back to school tomorrow.  After a few days of some really hard work, I am ready!  Preparing for a new school year is very difficult and time-consuming.  Thank goodness everything has gone very smoothly this year and I am very excited about tomorrow!

Will is doing great at Nana's house everyday and I am doing just fine at work. I am ready to leave pretty quickly though because I can't wait to get home to my baby boy.  I feel like now my biggest adjustment is only seeing him for a few hours everyday but I am learning how to cherish that time.

I also need to give a huge shout-out to Bryan!  He has been doing a lot to help out lately since I have gone back to work.  In the mornings, he is getting up with me and feeding Will, changing him, and volunteering to take him to Nana's house on the way to work.  At nights, he is just as involved.  I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband who is hands-on with Will and Will is super lucky to have such a wonderful daddy!
We love you Bryan!

I know I haven't posted any pictures of Will lately but I promise some new ones are coming soon!  I know you are missing seeing that super cute face everyday now like you did all summer long!  Hopefully I will get settled at work and get back to blogging pretty regularly.

Just Roxy

Poor little Roxy is not our only baby anymore and sometimes I forget to mention her on the blog.  Occasionally, she will pose with Will for a picture but I never just blog about her anymore.  So today it is all about Roxy!  (Like she actually knows!)

Roxy got a bath today which she doesn't like but tolerates.  I love her messy hair straight out of the bathtub! After her bath, she always runs laps around the house.  She gets so excited she can't stand it!

One of Roxy's favorite things to do is play with her monkey which we call monk-monk.  This is her baby and it has to go everywhere with us.

Is she just not the cutest dog you have ever seen?

The result of a busy week

This week has been a big adjustment for our family.  I have gone back to work which now includes a new morning schedule.  So far, Will has been waking up around 3:30 (I don't know why) and taking a bottle.  He immediately goes back to sleep.  My alarm now goes off around 6:oo (it will be even earlier when kids start coming) and Will is not waking up at all.  Bryan and I have to pick him up and put him into his car seat so I can take him to Nana's house.  Things have been going really well during the day and of course Nana says that he is an angel!  They play, swing, and do lots of fun things together during the day.

When I get home in the afternoons, we play and I try to get some chores done.  By the time supper is done, it is time for Will to take a bath and start to settle down for the night.  He is still going to sleep anywhere from
9-10.

After just two days of our new schedule, Will is exhausted!  He fell asleep tonight while taking a bottle and his little head just flopped over to the side.

P.S.  Please do not think I am complaining about working because I have an amazing schedule being a teacher.  I am extremely fortunate to be able to come home in the afternoons and still have some quality hours that I can spend with Will.  I know that there are a lot of people who have it a lot worse off than me.  We are just adjusting and figuring out our new routine.

Happy Birthday Pawpaw!

We love you!

P.S.  Today was my first day back at work and it went great!  I realize now how fortunate I am to be able to drop Will off at Bryan's moms house everyday.  There were no tears and I am very proud of myself.  I was not the least bit worried.  I missed him all day but I knew that he was just fine.  Thanks Nana for keeping Will!  We love you!

Beach

First of all, Will turned three months old Saturday at the beach.  So of course, we took a ton of pictures of him on the beach to celebrate.  Will got his first beach chair which he seemed to like.  Bryan dipped his toes in the water and he didn't mind it at all.

My dad, Bryan, and I took the boat out to do a little fishing and we had some entertainment!

Will hanging out at the house with his daddy.  I love that wrinkled forehead.

Lunch on Saturday.  Will wearing his shades like his daddy.

Dinner last night at the marina.

We had a great time at the beach with my parents.  It was a final family trip before I go back to work on Thursday.  I really can't believe my summer is over and I am starting to feel a little sad.  I really like being with my baby boy everyday.  I know he will be totally fine because he is going to Nana's house everyday but I still feel a little down.
