Will's First Halloween

Will loved his first Halloween!  We started off at my mom's house which just happens to be on ELM Street.  We got started pretty early, like around 5:45 because we knew that he would get sleepy fast.  My mom's street actually blocks off the ends of the street so that no cars are allowed.  We strolled Will up the street and saw lots of people we know.  It was a lot of fun showing off our sweet little pumpkin!

Bebe ready to hand out some candy!

Ready to go trick or treating!

Will fell asleep around 6:45 and the temperature dropped so we knew it was time to go home.

Happy Halloween!!!

Will's First Playdate

This afternoon, Will and I went over to my friend Angela's house for a playdate with her son Braden and Ashley and her son Aiden.  The kids had a great time playing together and making a big mess!

This was a difficult shot to get.  Trying to get everyone to sit still was a huge challenge!!

The balls were a huge hit!

Angela still had Braden's walker which was perfect for Will to hang out in.  She actually sent it home with us because Braden doesn't use it anymore.

Will fell asleep towards the end of the day.  His first playdate was exhausting!!

Thanks Angela for having us over.  We had a great time and can't wait to do it again soon!

Linking up

I linked up with Kelly's Korner today where she is gathering a list of blogs of mom's of only children.  This list of blogs is really cool to check out because we can all relate to each other.  Reading about other mom's and their daily stories is really a lot of fun!  You know you are not the only one who has crazy messes, exciting moments, and wonderful memories.

Right now Will is an only child and will stay that way for a while.   Bryan and I are so happy right now enjoying Will in our lives that we really aren't concerned about our future (when it comes to other children).  I guess we will just have to wait and see what God has in store for us!

Will got mail!

Will got his first Halloween card today from Bebe & Poppy!  My mom is a card queen.  She sends cards for every occasion and we love it.  It always brightens our day!

Whoops!

So, before I left for work this morning, I started a load of Will's clothes.  I did not pay any attention to what I dumped into the washing machine, I just assumed it was all Will's things.  When I got home today from work, I opened the clothes washer and saw this.

Oh yes, that is a Germx bottle!  Obviously, it had fallen off of Will's dresser and into the laundry basket.  We always keep a bottle beside the changing pad which we use after changing a diaper. Like I said, I didn't pay any attention to what was in the basket (it was 6:30 am) and just dumped everything into the washing machine.  Luckily, I set the washer on gentle cycle and the bottle wasn't damaged or didn't even leak.
Whoops!!!

New Owl

We found a new owl for Will's room last weekend in the mountains.  It is made of burlap and is painted bright colors that match Will's nursery.  Very cute!

(Excuse the mess.  Just an average day around the house!)

Pumpkin Patch

Today Bryan and I took Will to a pumpkin patch.  The trip was pretty much for me because I wanted the cute pictures but Will did really good.  Also, we came home with a perfect pumpkin!

After the pumpkin patch, we went to Auto Bell to get our car cleaned and we put Will in the stroller while we waited.  He started making the funniest faces ever!  He has started puckering up his lips and it cracks us up!

Perfect Fall Weekend

This weekend we went to the mountains with my mom and dad for a wonderful Fall weekend.  We got there Saturday around lunch and spent the night with them.  The weather was great and the leaves were beautiful!  Will was so good the whole time.  He enjoyed strolling around and spending time with his Bebe and Poppy!  They had rented a condo that was very nice and had some wonderful views.

When we got there on Saturday, we ate some lunch at one of our favorite restaurants in the mountains, The Mellow Mushroom.  Every where we went was so crowded.  We ended up having to wait for about 30 minutes to eat but it was worth it!

Will has just started sitting in highchairs at restaurants and he is still a little wobbly.  We didn't have our high chair cover with us so notice my dad's coat crammed in there with Will to support him.  You gotta do what you gotta do!

After lunch, it was time for some shopping.  Will liked strolling around on main street enjoying the beautiful day!  Mom and I enjoyed all the goodies we found!  One of our favorite stops was a cupcake shop where we each got a cupcake, two German chocolate and two butter pecan.  They were fantastic!

Time for some family photos in the park.

After a long day out and about, we stayed in the condo Saturday night.  Will took a bath, bottle, and bed all by 7:30!  Bryan and Dad went and got some takeout from the Outback.  It was a nice relaxing evening.

This morning we got up, ate a good breakfast out, and did some more shopping! Right after lunch time, we headed home.  We had  a wonderful family weekend!

5 Months Old

Will is 5 months old today!

Will probably weighs around 15 lbs!  He is eating food now twice a day.  He really likes oatmeal with fruit mixed in, sweet potatoes, and carrots.  So far he doesn't like anything green but I keep trying.
He is wearing size 3-6 months in clothes and a size 2 diaper.
Just recently, he has started rolling over.
Will likes to be talked to and he is getting really loud when he talks back to you!
He takes short naps during the day but sleeps all night long.  Usually from 8-6.  I ain't complaining!!!
Grabbing at toys is something that keeps him entertained when he is laying in the floor playing.
We are working on tummy time.  He doesn't cry and whine quite as much as he used to and he is getting better at lifting his head up.
Will is always smiling!  I love when I go to pick him up in the afternoons and he grins as soon as he sees me. It makes my day!
He is still not dependent on a pacifier but will take one occasionally.
He still likes to swing and now he really enjoys his exerciser.  He can now touch the floor and jump around.
We think he is ticklish because Bryan can blow on his sides and he just giggles.
His hands are always in his mouth but no thumb sucking yet!
Being outside is one of his favorite things.
Riding in the car is still rough but getting a bit better.
Knock on wood, the only sickness we have had so far was a runny nose and I think it is just the change in the weather.

Everyday Bryan and I are so thankful for Will and the fact that God chose him to be our son!
Happy 5 months old Will!

Happy Anniversary!

Nine years ago today, I married my best friend!  Our wedding day was so much fun and was such a special day for Bryan and I.  Our day was captured into a storybook that I wanted to share with everyone.  I don't have a digital copy, so I had to take pictures of our storybook.  (Not the best quality pictures!)  I really enjoyed looking at our storybook, I can't believe it has been nine years!

I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband who is a wonderful father to Will.
I love you Bryan and I can't wait to celebrate many, many more anniversaries with you!

Oh, and look what I got today!  Like I said, Bryan is a great husband!
