Easter

The Easter bunny came to our house last night and dropped off a few things for Will!  He is currently obsessed with Yo Gabba Gabba!

Ready for church!

After a wonderful service at church, we went to Nana's for lunch.

Matthew 28:1-10
After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.
The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you."
So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them. "Greetings," he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me."
We had a wonderful day with family, food, and gifts but we also celebrated and worshiped our Lord today.  Today and everyday we should remember the ultimate sacrifice that our Lord made for us.

Two Egg Hunts...One Day!

Today has been one busy day!!!  This morning we started at our church for Easter egg hunt #1.  We colored Easter pictures and decorated eggs with markers and stickers.

Listening to the Easter story before egg hunting.

Let the hunting begin!

This afternoon, we attended a cookout and Easter egg hunt #2 at Nana's church.

I would say that Will definitely has the hang of hunting Easter eggs.  He's a pro!

Looking forward to worshiping our Lord tomorrow and spending some special time with our family and friends!

1 Peter 1:3
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead... (NIV)

Midweek Happenings

Will was cooking his eggs this afternoon in his microwave.

He also got an Easter card tonight in the mail from a sweet lady from our church, Izzy.  He opened it up and started reading it to me.  How sweet!

Egg Dying

Will and I dyed our eggs this afternoon for Easter.  Will was very neat and carefully placed the eggs in the dye.  He mixed the eggs around while we were waiting for them to be done.  He did great!

First Spring Day

Today was absolutely beautiful!  We took Will to the park this morning so that he could play.  Unfortunately, the train and the carousel were closed but we did get to play on the playground.  We still had fun and Will just loves to be outside.  Before heading home for a nap, we had lunch at Chick-fil-A.

Tonight, Will was playing all by himself and I noticed he was talking to himself.  Well, he was looking in the oven window at his reflection and having a full blown conversation.  So cute!

Are you noticing this cheesy smile that I am getting every time I take a picture now?
