Thanksgiving Tradition

Our Thanksgiving this year was full of family, food, and fun.  We started our day by watching a little bit of the Macy's Day Parade and drinking coffee.

Next, we headed to mom and dads for  a traditional Thanksgiving lunch.  The whole family was there and the food was great!  Will had fun playing football with anyone who would play with him.

My favorite part of the day though was our traditional trip up the mountain to cut down our Christmas tree.  After lunch and cleaning up, we load up in daddy's truck with jackets, hats, scarves, and gloves and begin the journey to the fresh cut Christmas tree farm.  Will sleeps the whole way there which works out great.  When we get there, we wandered around looking at all the different sizes and shapes of the trees.  We take pictures and more pictures before we finally decide on the perfect tree.  This year it was a bit muddy because of the rain that we got the past few days but we trekked on and just got dirty.  The tree farm has a donkey and a goat for Will to see and even a friendly dog that visits you while you are looking around.  The weather was actually perfect this year.  Not too cold or windy.

Having Will makes this tradition even more special and I hope that we always take this day to spend together as a family and carrying on a tradition.  Next year, Sadie Jane will be here and we will have our hands full!

Too excited not to share...

Last week, we had some pictures taken of the three of us.  I wanted some maternity pictures, pictures for the Christmas card, and the last time just the three of us.  Before long, there will be four!

I am saving my favorites but I could not wait to share some with everyone!
I love how great they turned out!

Girls Night & Baby Shower!

Last night, I met up with the girls for dinner and a baby shower for Sadie Jane.  I love these girls and of course they showered me with gifts! The cake was precious and sooooooo good!  It was white cake with raspberry filling.  YumYum!

First Football Game

Last weekend we took Will to his first football game.  We went to a small local college and it was perfect for Will.  The stands were not crowded and he loved it!  Unfortunately, it started raining during the third quarter.  We tried to tough it out but the rain picked up and we had to leave.  But the good news is we have more tickets for next weekend.  Will has already started talking about going to the game again and he is so excited!

Halloween

Halloween started Wednesday night for us.  Our church had a trunk or treat and it was fun for Will.  We didn't go all out with a big costume but he was a pretty cute Thomas the Train conductor.

Last night we went all out with of course, a Carolina Panther football player.  Will is obsessed with football right now and he loved his costume.  We went trick-or-treating to the family houses and then around our neighborhood.  This was the first year that Will really enjoyed himself and understood what was going on.  He got a ton of candy and even some other goodies like books, glow-in-the-dark-bracelets, and a bar-b-que sandwich (from our neighbor)!!!
