Family Visit

Yesterday we had some out of town visitors.  My cousin Michael, his wife Megan, and their little girl Maylee came for a visit.  They live about 14 hours away from us. Also, my cousin Timothy, wife Casey, daughter Amber, and my aunt Jeanette came too.  They all live out of town and are here for the week.  Unfortunately, we don't get to see each other much, so yesterday was great!  This was actually my first time meeting Maylee and she is 9 months old.

Daddy rocked her to sleep.

Maylee liked Roxy!

The new mommies!

We had a house full yesterday and all the kids were wonderful!  Maylee is crawling and learning how to walk.  She was interested in everything!  Will just hung out and watched everybody all afternoon.  For dinner we ordered pizza and then they headed home shortly after that.  They are staying with my aunt who is about two hours away from us so they had to drive back to her house last night.  I really enjoyed our visit and I wish they lived closer by so our kids could grow up together.

Great Mornings

This is what I wake up to every morning!

Will is so happy when we come into his nursery in the mornings.  When he wakes up, he doesn't cry.  He will actually lay in his crib and talk to himself until we get in there.  Also, he doesn't stay swaddled anymore. At night, we still swaddle him up tightly but by the morning he has wiggled his way out of his swaddle completely!

Maybe I should shave my head!!!

Sometimes I think I should just shave my head because it would make things so much easier.  Will loves to get a hand full of my hair and yank!  Sometimes it is very difficult to get him to let go.  It can literally bring tears to my eyes sometimes.  Now I know that I can pull it back out of the way but sometimes I don't want to have a ponytail, sometimes I would like to fix my hair for the day and leave it down.  I know this is going to be an ongoing problem and I guess I am just going to have to adjust because I cannot have a super short haircut.  I would look like Shirley Temple!!!

So for those of you who see me around, please don't think I am "letting myself go,"  I am simply just trying to avoid some major pain from sweet little Will!

12 Weeks old & Will's surprises

First off my baby Will is 12 weeks old today and he wanted to give a shout out to his daddy!

Will has received some special surprises lately and I wanted to share them with you.  First off, Nana and PawPaw (Bryan's mom and stepdad) gave Will this really cute owl onesie.  Nana actually found the owl patch and sewed it onto the brown onesie.  Wasn't that a good idea?

Last week my mom (Bebe) went on a mission trip to Philadelphia with our church and she brought back Will a Phillies t-shirt.  Really cute!

My dad was eating at a Cracker Barrel the other day and bought Will this t-shirt.  He really liked it because my dad has a huge garage behind his house and we hang out there a lot.  One day, my dad will have Will out there working on cars, boats, four-wheelers, and who knows what else!

Finally my friend Angela brought Will a bunch of surprises yesterday.  Angela loves anything and everything monogrammed so she got Will a bib and onesie monogrammed.  I love them because Will doesn't have many things monogrammed.  Her baby Braden has the same onesie and we are going to have their pictures made together very soon.  We joke all the time about how they have to be best friends because we are!  Angela also picked Will up an outfit by Magnolia Baby that is really soft and cute.

Will has so many special people in his life that love him so much and love to spoil him!

Some new things

Will discovered his reflection today.  We were having a little tummy time this morning and I showed him his little mirror that is on his play mat.  I don't think he has ever noticed it before because today he just smiled at himself.  It also helped him try to hold his head up a little better because he had something to look at.

I had these really cute pacifiers but I wasn't sure if he would take them or not because he is only use to soothers.  But I tried it today and he did just fine.

Of course, I had to take a picture of both pacifiers because I think we both "ROCK!"

Then, I got out some toys to start trying to entertain him with.  His favorite was the wrist rattle.  His arms are moving around like crazy right now so he could rattle it all by himself.
Fun times!

Finally, Will was wanting to eat around every two hours so I thought I would try him on a little bit more formula.  So I tried 6 ounces and of course he drank it all.  Right now he is keeping it all down so I guess a little more formula might help keep him full a bit longer.  My little boy is growing up way too fast!

A Little Something Sweet

Will got his first taste of fruit tonight.  Bryan held up a piece of cantaloupe to his mouth and he got a little taste of it.  He started smiling and really liked it!
