Guess who's two?

Today is Will's second birthday!  Can you believe that our baby boy is two already?  

We had his birthday party Saturday at the park with a train.  A ton of friends and family came out to help us celebrate his birthday.  He loved the train and playing on the play ground.  Here are some pictures but there are so many (over 300) so it will take me a few nights to post all the ones that I love.

Mother's Day

Today has been a lovely Mother's Day for me!

Will gave me a hand-made painted plate to me this morning and Bryan got me a new pair of Rainbow flip-flops!

This afternoon, we went to my mom and dad's for a cookout.  We ate hot dogs and banana split ice cream cake!

My special mom...I love her so much!

Her heart is huge and her love for God is something that I try to model after her.  She has always been there for me and I know that I can always count on her through good times and the bad.

I am so lucky to be this special guys mom! 

Will has made me a better person and I love being his mom.  I try to be a Godly mother for him and a role model that he can respect and look up to now and when he gets older. 

Not to mention he is the cutest thing that I have ever seen!!!

The Night before Mother's Day

Two Years Ago Today...

Two years ago today, we met Will's birthmother.  Boy what a surreal day!  We were so nervous to meet her and she was just as nervous to meet us.  The day was wonderful though.  We talked, got to know each other, ate mall chinese for lunch, and became eternally grateful for each other.  She told us that day that she wanted us to be Will's parents.  Can you imagine that feeling?  I can not even begin to put it into words.

I pray for her everyday!  I can only hope that she truly understands what she has given us.  She has given us a wonderful son who is loving, funny, so smart, and absolutely perfect! 

I constantly tell Bryan, I really don't think we could have done it better ourselves!

I think she would be happy with how Will is growing up.  Bryan and I are being the best parents to him that we can possibly be!  I promised her that we would love him and take good care of him...we are definitely doing that every single day!

Beach Wedding

This weekend Bryan and I headed down to the coast for a beautiful beach wedding.  Our friends Erin & Quentin got married yesterday on the beach.  Bryan and I went down Thursday night.  We had so much fun but we are exhausted!  

As soon as we got there Thursday night, we went out to see a beach band called Coastline.  We literally checked into the hotel, dropped our bags, changed clothes, and headed out.  This was so unlike us but we had a good time.  The next day, the guys all went and played golf so I went to lunch with my friend Heidi.  We had a fresh seafood steam pot and it was delicious!  Friday night we went to see a Journey tribute band at the House of Blues and they were so good!  Another good time!  

Yesterday was the wedding and the weather was pretty yucky all day but the skies cleared and the sun actually peeked out during the ceremony and for the reception. 

Our delicious lunch Friday! I took a picture of it to rub into Bryan because all he had was a hot dog at the golf course.  He didn't think it was very funny!!!

It was so much fun to have a weekend away with friends but I sure was ready to see Will today.  He stayed with all the grandparents all weekend so he was in very good hands.
