Great ending to a perfect weekend!

Sunday evening, my friends Angela and Ashley brought over their babies for a little trick-or-treating! They were so cute!

Braeden was a bear.

Aiden was a turtle but got hot so he had on a cute Halloween outfit.

The boys were exhausted after a long busy Halloween weekend!

Finally Bryan and I made smores at home on the grill. They were tasty!

I hope everyone has a great week!

Halloween Camping

Bryan and I went Halloween camping this weekend with some of our friends. The weather was wonderful and the place was packed!

Roxy won second place in the pet costume contest. She was a pumpkin.

Everyone in the campground decorated their campsites with Halloween decorations and lights! This was our campsite.

This is Holly with little Bella dressed up like a ladybug!

Mom and Dad came up to visit us on Saturday. We sat around a campfire while the kids were trick-or-treating around the campground.

The kids rode around on golf carts to all the different campsites to get their candy.

We had a great weekend! Can't wait for next year!

A Special Evening

Tonight Bryan and I attended a small service at church...

A Service of Reflecting, Remembering, & Rejoicing

A very special woman planned this event. Her name is Allison and about five months ago she suffered from a miscarriage. God laid it on her heart to plan a special service to share her testimony and celebrate these babies that many of us had lost. The service consisted of prayers, worship, and some beautiful songs. Allison's youngest daughter read a story to us called No Tears in Heaven. It was one of the most touching moments of my life. There was not a dry eye in the crowd. We also lit candles in honor of our lost babies.

I really appreciate Allison planning this special event for our church family and community. Sometimes we move so fast in our daily lives that we forget to stop, remember, and reflect on these special babies that are in heaven now. She is such a brave soul to share her story with all of us.

Many of my friends attended the service and I was so honored to share this special moment with them. I know that it helps to find comfort in other people who have experienced the same loss and pain. Through prayers, we will all heal but never forget our individual losses.

How quietly you tiptoed into our world. Softly, only a moment you stayed but what an imprint your footprints have left upon our hearts. ~Unknown~

Updates & Free Stuff

The weekend flew by as usual but I wanted to share a few things.

Saturday, Bryan and I attended our adoption agency's fall conference and it was great! The speaker gave us some wonderful information to think about and prepare for. My favorite part was meeting the other waiting couples and getting to talk about how excited we all are waiting on our miracles. Some parents were there that already had placement and I love hearing their stories. Everyones adoption story is different but they are all exciting and a blessing. Attending the conference reaffirmed to me that I am so excited about adopting and I know that this is what Bryan and I were meant to do in our lives!

I just have to share that on the way home we stopped and did a little shopping. My favorite purchase was the Yankee Candle Spiced Pumpkin. My whole house smells like Fall and I love it!

Another purchase I made was a picture book that the agency recommended for us. It is called Tell Me Again About the Night I was Born by Jamie Lee Curtis. I bought it at Books-a-Million and it is the sweetest story about a child being adopted and the parents journey to get the baby. Bryan and I have always said that adoption would be an open topic in our family and this picture book is a wonderful way to share with our child their story one day!

I love my friends with babies because I just keep getting free stuff!!!

My friend Ashley passed along this brand new swing because Aiden didn't like it.

Angela passed her along her tiny bottles that Braeden is not using anymore.

Just wanted to say thanks because every little bit helps!!!

Ashley shared with me this photo from Aiden's dedication service a couple of Sunday's ago. I loved his little while outfit! I thought it was a great photo of all three of us.

Finally, I want to thank everyone for all the prayers that have been said for Bryan and I. Just today I was told that a very special prayer was given for us by some friends in their Sunday School class in a different town. Just knowing this has really lifted me up all day today. Know that I am constantly praying myself and I am praying for all of you as well. Thanks!

Much Better Day!!

Today was such a better day! I feel great and I am back to normal. Yesterday was a day full of anxiousness and worrying but I prayed harder than I have ever prayed before and I woke up this morning feeling a sense of peace again. I know its going to happen and when it does it will be the best day of my life.

I do want to say congratulations to Ben and Heather who received their miracle. I don't personally know them but I have kept up with them on their blog. They waited nine months for their miracle and he is a precious baby boy! When I saw their picture on the agency blog, I actually teared up because I was so excited for them. Congratulations!!!

I hope everyone has a great rest of the week!

Today I am having a rough day. I don't have very many because I normally try to stay very positive and optimistic. Waiting is hard and sometimes it just gets to me. I feel sorry for myself and wonder why am I having to wait so long. Everyone else gets to have a baby easily and some couples only wait a few months before receiving the call. I know I've only been waiting for four months with the agency but it has actually been closer to six years of wanting to start a family.

I know there is no need to get all worked up about our future because I have no control over it but sometimes its difficult. I can't help the fact that I want a baby now not a year from now. The only thing I can do is continue to pray and pray really hard. I have to remember that God will not lay more on my plate than I can handle but sometimes I wonder if I can actually handle this. I know that tomorrow will be better and I will continue to stay busy and before I know it I will have a child of my own. Until then I am just laying around the house feeling sorry for myself. Thank goodness I have a wonderful husband who understands and allows me to have these days.

I am going to be very selfish and ask that you keep me in your prayers!

But if we hope for what is still unseen by us, we wait for it with patience and composure. Romans 8:25
