Will's Birthday Party Photos Part 1

I am so excited to share with you some pics from Will's party.  Kellie the photographer took over 500 pics that are on three different cd's!  So my plan is to share some from each cd for the next three days.  There are so many good ones and they just won't fit all into one post.  Plus I am getting ready to print Will's first year from the blog so I want to include birthday photos.

Enjoy!

My First Mother's Day

My first Mother's Day was fantastic!  My day started with Bryan letting me sleep in.  He got up with Will and took care of him and I slept to 7:45 am.  We then opened some presents.  Will of course liked the paper.  I got a precious card with a gift certificate for a manicure and a pedicure.

Not sure what I was doing in this picture but Will looks cute in it!

Let me tell you what my sweet husband did.  He had this wonderful idea to let Will create a painting for me with his hands.  He bought the paint, paper, and frame and created this beautiful masterpiece just for me.  It was the absolutely perfect first Mother's Day gift!

After presents, we got ready for church.  Our preacher called me and asked me if I would tell the congregation about my Godly mother.  Of course I was very nervous but wanted to do it for my mom.   I prepared a little something to read and I did it!  I have never spoke in church before in front of the congregation and let me just tell you it is hard to do.  Thank goodness I didn't have to go first, there were five of us that shared about our Godly mothers and I was third in line.  It was a wonderful beginning to an amazing service about how being a mother is a serious job and should be led by God and the bible.  My mom was really happy and said it was the best present she has ever received.

That afternoon we all three took a nap and then went to dinner with all the parents and Aunt Francis to celebrate Mother's Day as a family.

Me & my boy!

I had a perfect first Mother's Day!

12 months old!!!

Today my baby boy is 12 months old!

At a year old you are eating just about everything.  You love cheese!  The bottle is pretty much gone and you are drinking milk, no more formula!  You are a wonderful sleeper.  You always sleep from 7:30 pm to at least 6:00 am sometimes even longer.

You have the most amazing blue eyes ever!  Your hair is blond and a little curly in the back.  You are trying to walk but if you need to get somewhere you decide to crawl.  You weigh 20 lbs and wear 12 month clothing and size 2 shoe.  Your diaper size is 3.

Your personality is so much fun.  You love to laugh and play with anyone.  When your daddy wrestles with you, you think it is hilarious!  You also have this cheesy grin where you smoosh your face together and grin and we just think it is the cutest thing ever.  We call it your fake smile!

You play with all your toys and right now you love to be outside.  You love hard bound books that you can turn the pages.  Books with flaps are your favorite! The only word we can decipher is Dada but we are working on mama. You love to play with Roxy and Roxy is so gentle with you.  She is the best dog ever!

You have seven teeth and love to show them off!  We believe that you are cutting more right now because you are chewing on your finger on your back gums.  You love The Wiggles!  Music makes you dance.  Everyday you are with your Nana or your Bebe which we love because we know that you are in such good hands.

Your first birthday just happen to fall on Mother's Day which made it extra special for me. You spent your first birthday by going to church, hanging around the house this afternoon, and then going out to eat tonight.  You had an amazing birthday party yesterday with all your family and friends.

Your dad and I just can't get enough of you.  We both say that we could just eat a chunk of you because you are just so stinkin' sweet and cute!  How did we get this lucky?

Your first year of life has come to an end and tomorrow marks the beginning of your second year of life.  There are so many things that we are excited about doing with you in the future.  I know we have said this many many times, but we are so thankful that God gave us you.  We are so thankful that your birthmother chose life for you so that you could be with us today.  This has been the most amazing year with you and we can't wait to experience the rest of your life with you!
Happy First Birthday Will!
Love, Mommy &  Daddy

Mother's Day memories are coming later but I wanted to post today all about Will turning one!
