Tonight our case worker Michelle made her last visit to our house. Michelle has been with us from the very beginning of our adoption journey. Before placement, she did our first home visit and our interviews. I remember before we met her, we were so nervous. We had no idea what to expect and of course we wanted to be perfect. Michelle was so nice and easy to talk to you that we immediately felt at ease. After Will was placed with us she visited us three more times. Those visits were very exciting because we love showing off Will! Michelle writes up reports and submits them to the agency about our placement. These reports are important in the finalization of our adoption. Even though we will miss Michelle visiting, we are so excited to be close (hopefully) to finalizing our adoption!

I remember feeling the exact same way before meeting the our social worker for the first time. Now...we view her more as a friend.
