Bryan and I had a great time in the snow today! We ventured out this morning and visited our friends Scott, Angela, and Braden. Angela attempted to build a snowman but the snow was too soft.
This afternoon, there was a Polar Plunge in our neighborhood. The Polar Plunge was in honor of a young man in our community who was in a terrible accident a couple of weeks ago. His name is Clay and he is a volunteer fireman who was responding to a fire when he flipped his truck. He is a senior in high school. He is currently in the hospital with some major injuries. Our community has really pulled together for this young man and has some scheduled fund raisers to help out the family. Everyone who attended the Polar Plunge today donated $5 to give to the family. The pictures turned out to be really funny!
The jumpers were friends and family; they decided to wear funny costumes or not much at all! I wish you could have seen their faces when they came up out of that freezing cold water!
Please keep Clay and his family in your prayers!
Stay strong Clay!
That is CRAZY but so precious. What a way for a community to pull together!
ReplyDeleteI am a little envious of your fun snow! All I have on my deck is ice. :(
Those are great pictures and looks like you guys had a lot of fun! That's so nice that your community has joined together like that.
