Thanksgiving Tradition

Our Thanksgiving this year was full of family, food, and fun.  We started our day by watching a little bit of the Macy's Day Parade and drinking coffee.

Next, we headed to mom and dads for  a traditional Thanksgiving lunch.  The whole family was there and the food was great!  Will had fun playing football with anyone who would play with him.

My favorite part of the day though was our traditional trip up the mountain to cut down our Christmas tree.  After lunch and cleaning up, we load up in daddy's truck with jackets, hats, scarves, and gloves and begin the journey to the fresh cut Christmas tree farm.  Will sleeps the whole way there which works out great.  When we get there, we wandered around looking at all the different sizes and shapes of the trees.  We take pictures and more pictures before we finally decide on the perfect tree.  This year it was a bit muddy because of the rain that we got the past few days but we trekked on and just got dirty.  The tree farm has a donkey and a goat for Will to see and even a friendly dog that visits you while you are looking around.  The weather was actually perfect this year.  Not too cold or windy.

Having Will makes this tradition even more special and I hope that we always take this day to spend together as a family and carrying on a tradition.  Next year, Sadie Jane will be here and we will have our hands full!
