I Love the Wiggles!!!

Will loves to watch the Wiggles.  He really likes their songs and dancing.  The Wiggles have saved us in the car because for Christmas he got a DVD player and he no longer fusses in the car!  He used to hate riding in the car but now he is content watching the Wiggles.

Mouth Noises

Something that drives me crazy are mouth noises!  I know everyone has a little something that drives them crazy like pen clicking, leg shaking, etc.  Well, mine is mouth noises whether it is lip smacking, chewing noises, or dry mouth.

Soooooo, tonight Bryan was teaching Will to make smacking noises with his mouth and lips.  Just to get on my nerves!  Can you believe that?

Adoption is all around!!

I just wanted to share with everyone all of the wonderful news that I have received just today regarding adoption.

First, a couple we know just received a sweet little baby boy!  I am not sure exactly how long they have been waiting but I know it's been a while.  Kelly & Dan, we are so excited for you guys and I know exactly the emotions you are feeling right now.  Having that sweet baby boy in your arms is such an amazing feeling.  Your lives will never be the same and I am so happy that you are part of the adoption family!

Our friends Pete & Haley mailed their "big" packet in the mail today.  This is their application with a ton of paperwork included in it.  They are going through the same agency Bryan and I did and we are so excited for them.  They are moving right along through the process and I am anxious to see what God has in store for them!

Lastly, today at school a fellow teacher came up to me and told me she has a friend who is ready to begin the adoption process.  She asked if I would mind if her friend contacted me.  Of course, I said absolutely!  One of my favorite things to do is talk about adoption.  I am by no means an expert but I do love helping people get started and help them along the way anyway that I can.  When Bryan and I were ready to begin, we had a wonderful couple that had adopted that met with us and got us guided in the right direction.  The process can be overwhelming and figuring out where to begin is the hardest part.  If I can help people in anyway, I feel like it is the least I could do.

God is good and everyday I feel like God put adoption in our lives for a special reason!

A breath of fresh air...

This afternoon turned out to be a warm, 60 degree afternoon in January.  The weather has been terrible lately and we have been stuck inside.  So Will and I spent some time outside on the patio for some fresh air!

Prayer Request

My friend Leslie and her family are beginning their journey to a foreign country.  Today they left for training in a different state and then they are leaving the country.  Please pray for Leslie and her family and safe travels.

Please say a special prayer for Leslie's parents who are going to miss them so much while they are gone.  Their names are David & Sheila and I know they are going to miss their daughter, son-in-law, and especially their grandson so much for the next few years.

You can follow Leslie's journey on her blog.

Also, thanks Leslie for thinking about Will and leaving him some clothes.  We really appreciate it!

Will & Braden

Will and I went over to Angela's house today for some McDonalds lunch and some playtime.  The boys had fun playing together and Will loved Braden's toys.  This floor mat that is a piano was really cool!  The keys actually play music and songs.

Will did great standing up and playing with this musical toy with Braden.  It had handles that he could easily grip.  He looks like such a big boy standing there playing.

Fun day!

Today

Today our day began by going to church as a family.

Today Will spent some time looking out the window which he loves to do.

Today we finally got a picture of his two bottom teeth. (Still not great)

Today Bryan grilled us some brats & onions which we love!

Today Will played in the floor and we think is getting very close to crawling.

Today I rocked my baby to sleep!

What a great day!

Trying Something New

Will has started eating some of these Gerber yogurt melts which he really likes.  I am practicing with him on trying to pick them up and put them into his mouth.  No luck yet but he loves to scoot them around and drop them on the floor!

8 months old

Will is 8 months old today.  Can you believe it?  Just tonight, Bryan and I were looking at him and we can't believe how long he is getting and how fast things are going by.  Will is still such a wonderful baby!  Bryan and I never complain because we are so fortunate.  He sleeps good, eats good, and is always so happy.

Today two more teeth poked through his gums. That is three already!!! He can pull himself up with some help and is moving all over the place when he is on the floor.  We try to spend as much time as we can on the floor because he is close to crawling (we think).  His favorite toy is still his walker because he loves to scoot around the house.  Some of his favorite foods are chicken & apples, mac n cheese, and all fruits.  He still doesn't eat anything green. Overall, I think we are right on track!

Chin ups!!

At night, Bryan will hold Will up to the shower curtain and he grabs the rod.  It always looks like he is doing baby chin ups!
We are working on baby muscles!

Girls Weekend 2012!

This weekend I went to the mountains with a wonderful group of girls!  All of us have been friends since high school and still keep in touch today.  We organized a little girls weekend away to spend some time catching up with each other and to say goodbye to our friend Leslie.  She is going over seas in a few months and will be gone for four years.  It doesn't matter how long we go without seeing each other as soon as we get together we pick right back up where we left off.  There was lots of talking, eating, and laughing.  It was so much fun and was a wonderful, much needed break for us girls.

Friday night we drove up to the mountains, ate dinner, bought groceries, and settled in for the evening.  We immediately put on pajamas and talked late into the evening.  Saturday morning we woke up, showered, and headed out for lunch and some shopping.

The girls!
Whitney, Susie, Kendra, me, Leslie, Summer, & Kristen
(We stayed at Kristen's family's mountain house.)

After shopping, we headed back up the mountain for the night.  We put on pajamas and Summer and Leslie cooked us a spaghetti dinner.  We also watched the movie Crazy, Stupid, Love.  Loved the movie!!!

After dinner, we played cards, some of us did a little dancing, and we just talked the night away again.

Being together again was just like it was 15 years ago.  We have very special friendships together and are very fortunate to still be in touch and spending time together.  We are all at different points in our lives and being able to share our stories with each other was great.
I had a wonderful weekend away and can't wait to do it again hopefully sooner than later!

Please keep my friend Leslie and her husband Thomas and son Judah in your prayers as they travel overseas on an amazing journey that God is leading them on!
