Girls Weekend 2012!

This weekend I went to the mountains with a wonderful group of girls!  All of us have been friends since high school and still keep in touch today.  We organized a little girls weekend away to spend some time catching up with each other and to say goodbye to our friend Leslie.  She is going over seas in a few months and will be gone for four years.  It doesn't matter how long we go without seeing each other as soon as we get together we pick right back up where we left off.  There was lots of talking, eating, and laughing.  It was so much fun and was a wonderful, much needed break for us girls.

Friday night we drove up to the mountains, ate dinner, bought groceries, and settled in for the evening.  We immediately put on pajamas and talked late into the evening.  Saturday morning we woke up, showered, and headed out for lunch and some shopping.

The girls!
Whitney, Susie, Kendra, me, Leslie, Summer, & Kristen
(We stayed at Kristen's family's mountain house.)

After shopping, we headed back up the mountain for the night.  We put on pajamas and Summer and Leslie cooked us a spaghetti dinner.  We also watched the movie Crazy, Stupid, Love.  Loved the movie!!!

After dinner, we played cards, some of us did a little dancing, and we just talked the night away again.

Being together again was just like it was 15 years ago.  We have very special friendships together and are very fortunate to still be in touch and spending time together.  We are all at different points in our lives and being able to share our stories with each other was great.
I had a wonderful weekend away and can't wait to do it again hopefully sooner than later!

Please keep my friend Leslie and her husband Thomas and son Judah in your prayers as they travel overseas on an amazing journey that God is leading them on!
