Adoption To-Do List

Going through my brain right now is a few things that I still need to do before "the call."   Not sure why but I feel like I need to get them done sooner than later.

The list includes:

1.  Get a pediatrician.  This is kinda hard for me because I obviously don't have any kids and can only go by who others recommend.  I totally trust my friends and family but I wonder if I should go meet with them or just call and say "Hey, do you want to be my new baby's doctor?"

2.  Buy coming home outfit(s).  The agency likes for us to have a brand new outfit with the tags still on them to bring home the baby in from the hospital. I have lots of cute outfits already but of course I cut the tags and washed them.  Plus they are not the "special" outfits I want them to be.  So I am thinking I need to go shopping and I think I will just go ahead and buy a boys and girls outfit.  Which ever one I don't use, I can either return or use for a gift.  This task is also difficult because I wonder if I should buy newborn sizes or 0-3 months because you know some babies skip the newborn size altogether.  What do you think?

3.  Finish nursery closet.  Poor Baby Pruitt doesn't really have a closet right now.  There's a door and some empty space but no clothing rod or shelves or anything.  I would really like to get this organized before Baby Pruitt's arrival.  

I am sure there are so many other things that we need to do but these are my main concerns right now.  Is there anything else that my mommy friends recommend I do?  I would love to hear your ideas.  Thanks!

My friend, Angela's grandfather passed away Wednesday and I would love for all of you to keep her family in your prayers as they go through this difficult time.

Today is a very special day because it is my wonderful husbands birthday!  I am so lucky to have you as my husband and I appreciate you more and more everyday! I love you!

Horoscope & New Adoption book

My horoscope today said:

Your routine is about to be shaken up quite a bit -- and not a moment too soon!

Doesn't that sound great?  I can't wait for my routine to be messed up!  Hopefully with late night feedings, dirty diapers, and newborn cries.  

Also...

At the beach this past week, I bought this adoption book that hopefully one day I will be able to share with "Baby Pruitt."  It is the sweetest story!

Last note, we have been waiting for over 10 months now and I didn't write about it on the blog.  Couple reasons why:  we weren't in town and I really don't know what else to say.  I know that it's going to happen and it kills me not knowing when but we are staying busy and just focusing on the fact that one day we are going to be parents.  Some way some how!!! 

Home from the Beach

This past week, Bryan and I had a wonderful trip to the beach.  It was my spring break from school and Bryan took the week off from work.  Bryan and I relaxed, played on the beach, and ate lots of food.

  Our friends Scott and Angela joined us with their baby Braden.  It was Braden's first beach trip and he did great!  Of course, he tried to eat the sand but he loved the water and splashing around.  We loved having them with us and Bryan and I got some really good practice with Braden!  I think we are definitely ready to become parents!

At our beach house, we don't have internet service and I really missed blogging and checking my favorite blogs this week.  I didn't realize how much a part of my life blogging is until I couldn't do it when I wanted to. Not really glad to be home because tomorrow I go back to work.  Boo!  But we are in our last 9 weeks of school and it will be summer before we know it!

We have no big Easter plans except for dinner with my parents.

California Purchases

My two favorite things that I bought in California are:

I could have bought a lot more but we don't have a money tree so I had to limit myself. 

Happy Spring Break everybody.  I have no school for a week and I am so excited! 

CALIFORNIA!!!

California was amazing!  It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited.  I love all the palm trees, beaches, and the houses on the hills.  Bryan and I had a great time!

When we got there on Sunday, we just explored the area.  These are shots from the Pacific Coast Highway.
